Soular Order – Entropy

‘Entropy’ is the aptly-named sophomore album from Soular Order, presenting a fresh take on Jon Maynard’s mantra: drone-laden ambience and crisp percussion, all flanked and supported by huge walls of sound.

A departure from form, these 10 tracks were recorded and arranged over a six month period, allowing an endlessly expanding palette of synths and texture sourced from hardware, software, guitar, and field recordings. At its core, however, each diverse track in ‘Entropy’ embraces generative elements to explore sound design and drive the album towards resolution.
